Ribbon cutting for the new Dog Park
Join us as we officially open the new 5-acre Dog Park located on the north side of Lafreniere Park. There will be a Costume Contest for the Best Dressed Pet Sports Fan, Pet Demonstrations, Adoptable pets from the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter and lots more! OPENS FRIDAY, DEC 2 THRU SUN, JAN 1 - More than a dozen new lighted displays added to compliment the displays donated by the Al Copeland Family. Open Sun thru Thurs from 5:30 pm to 9:45 pm and Fri and Sat from 5:30 pm to 11:45 pm. Entrance fee: $3 per vehicle. Downs Blvd entrance CLOSED at 5:00 pm. Vehicles must enter the park only from W. Napoleon Ave and exit on Veterans Blvd or W. Napoleon.

Football Training Camp
The purpose of the Become a Saint camp is to teach the campers how to develop their spiritual life through football. This objective is two-fold. It is to teach the campers how to develop their inner character and to teach the basic skills of Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Running Backs, and Tight Ends.
This camp is for students in the 6th - 8th grade. All campers must register by April 30, 2009. NO EXCEPTIONS.
